Feeling alive or living life?

Feeling alive or living life?

3rd November, 2022

Every day we wake up, move from our bed to breakfast, follow our routine, brush our teeth, shower, go to work, return, shower again, have dinner, then sleep. How many of us go through our daily rituals without thought? Unfortunately, I realized that this is the case for many people now. This is the opposite of feeling alive.

There is a difference between being the captain of a ship and a passenger waiting to reach a destination. Our ship carries many things that may burden it from completing the journey and may sink at any moment. We must take control, prove our existence, be active and enjoy the journey to be truly alive. Here are some tips that we can do:

  • Having a sense of purpose
  • Positively interacting with other passengers
  • Reading
  • Learning
  • Enjoying the moment
  • Feeling blessed
  • Having fun
  • Exercising
  • Monitoring our health
  • Knowing what we eat

If we actively examine our lives and engage instead of simply existing, we will experience authentic living.
