Commercial Mediation in Saudi Arabia Meirc Plus Speciality Training

Commercial Mediation in Saudi Arabia

Why Attend

In Saudi Arabia, commercial mediation has been gaining prominence as an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) method, particularly following the establishment of the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration (SCCA) in 2014. The SCCA provides mediation services as a mechanism to resolve commercial disputes efficiently, in alignment with Islamic Law (Sharia), while promoting quicker and less costly solutions compared to traditional litigation. The regulatory framework for mediation in the Kingdom is aligned with international standards, which has made it a preferred method for both domestic and international commercial disputes.

This course provides participants with both theoretical and practical knowledge of the mediation process in Saudi Arabia, aimed at developing the skills necessary to become effective mediators or contributors in mediation. It emphasizes an interactive, participatory approach, encouraging active engagement between participants and the facilitator.
