Education

Mr. Maher Rayes is partner and deputy managing director of Meirc Training & Consulting. He holds a bachelor of arts in business administration from the American University of Beirut and a master of business administration in organizational leadership from Leicester University, UK. He has also completed numerous executive programs in people and organizational leadership and management from world-renowned institutes.

Experience

Maher has more than 30 years of experience in leading people as a middle and senior level manager with a number of regional companies headquartered in Beirut, Athens and Dubai. He started his career as a client service supervisor at one of the largest Lebanese banks, where he developed the main branch client base and ensured organizational flexibility in dealing with clients. In 1988, he moved to Athens to assume the position of regional sales manager at a major food trading company covering the Middle East, North Africa and East Europe. His competencies focused on business planning, development and implementation and team leadership. Maher also worked as business manager for a regional media group of companies where he was responsible for strategy formulation, business operations and management.

Maher is a professional facilitator who believes in delivering training sessions that are innovative, fun and inspiring. As a leadership and management expert and people development strategist with an experience spanning over three decades, he enriches his engagements with practical and proven turn-key solutions. Throughout his tenure with Meirc, Maher has trained and coached thousands of employees and managers, and he has worked closely with multinational and regional organizations to provide them with actionable and comprehensive solutions to their human talent challenges. Maher conducts training courses in leadership, management, team dynamics, problem solving and decision making. In addition, he is currently a practicing leader responsible for the operations team at Meirc and is actively involved in the strategic decisions of the company.
