Governance is a critical topic that has been attracting serious attention for two decades in business schools and among legislatures, with this trend only increasing. While there are different types of regulators, they all aim to govern and deal with stakeholders. This course covers regulators' independence, decision-making, accountability, inspection and audit, and monitoring and enforcing regulations. It also explains the different types of regulators and different regulators' structures and authorities. Other topics discussed are the role of regulators and the required transparency.
