Education

Dr. Hanna El-Jor is a partner with Meirc Training & Consulting. He holds a bachelor of science from Northwestern State University of Louisiana and a doctorate from LaSalle University, both in the USA. Hanna has also earned a post graduate diploma in public relations and event management from the Fitzwilliam Institute in London and completed post graduate studies in safety promotion and risk management with the University of Karolinska in Sweden. In addition, he is an associate certified coach (ACC) by the International Coach Federation (ICF).

Experience

Before joining Meirc, Hanna was associate professor and director at the American University of Science and Technology in Lebanon. For a number of years in that position he taught public speaking, business communication and management courses. He also facilitated training programs on behalf of ICTN, a Lebanon-based training and consulting organization, both in Lebanon and the Gulf. In addition, Hanna produced and hosted a radio show on safety for the Voice of Lebanon, as well as a television show on injury prevention. He was the vice president, board member and head of public relations for the Youth Association for Social Awareness (YASA), a leader of injury prevention and safety education in the Middle East. In addition, he was co-founder and president of LASSA (Lebanese Association for School Safety Awareness). Hanna was also a member of various ministerial and parliamentary committees dealing with health and safety issues in Lebanon.

Expertise

With Meirc, Hanna facilitates courses in public relations, safety management and communication skills. His other areas of expertise include business ethics, etiquette and protocol, as well as media, presentation skills and public speaking.
Hanna has earned various professional certifications. He is a certified trainer with the OSHA academy, USA, and a member of the Public Relations Society of America. He is also a certified training practitioner by the Institute for Performance and Learning in Canada. In addition, Hanna was one of eight Meirc team members who conducted research that led to the publication of Developing Multicultural Leaders by Palgrave Macmillan in London, 2010.
