This course provides participants with concrete solutions, strategies
and insights into the delivery of an effective Business Continuity
Management System (BCMS)
Using tested processes and
procedures, participants will analyze the risks and impacts to business
operations that threats might cause. A framework for building
organizational resilience will be provided to deliver an effective
response for safeguarding the interests of key stakeholders, reputation,
brand, and value-creating activities.
This practical course provides participants with a framework that is aligned with the UAE NCEMA 7000-2015, Business Continuity Institute (BCI) Good Practice Guidelines (GPG) 2013 and ISO 22301-2012 Societal Security; Business Continuity Management Systems (BCMS) requirements.
This course will be highly interactive and include group discussions, videos, case studies and syndicate work.
and BCP Plan Templates will be applied during the course and given for
use after the course. Supporting information, such as the Main Events
List (MEL) for Exercise planning and BC Steering Committee – Terms of
Reference (ToR) will also be made available.
It includes specific templates for carrying-out a Business Impact Analysis (BIA), completion of a Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and completion of a Business Continuity (BC) Exercise that participants will be able to take away for use in their own organizations.
Business Continuity, Quality, Audit and IT professionals such as
Business Continuity Manager (BCM), Business Continuity Coordinator
(BCC), Crisis Manager (CM), IT Disaster Recovery (DR) Manager or anyone

Steve has been involved in both Commercial & Public sector organizations, as well as having served in the Military. He is currently working as an Independent Resilience Consultant, in delivery of Resilience Solutions to organizations.
His main claim to fame was when he worked for the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) as Head of Business Continuity & Crisis Management during the London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games where he established and led delivery of the Risk & Continuity roadmap throughout the construction, fitting-out and event delivery phases, having additional responsibility for Emergency Planning and ICT Disaster Recovery.
As a Fellow of both the Business Continuity Institute (FBCI) and Institute of Civil Protection & Emergency Management (FICPEM), Member of the Emergency Planning Society (MEPS) and BSI trained ISO 22301-2012 Societal Security; Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) Lead Auditor, he has been involved in the development of Industry standards, as well as in the delivery of Projects & Programs to major institutions and global brands.
He has written many articles about Resilience, Business Continuity Management, Crisis Management, Major Incidents, Disaster Recovery and Emergency Planning, having developed & delivered training courses, workshops and spoken at conferences both nationally and internationally.
