Dr. Ahmad Rashid is a partner with Meirc Training and Consulting. He holds a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology, master of business administration from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, USA; and a doctor of philosophy degree (PhD) in project management from the British University in Dubai (BUiD), in association with University of Manchester, UK. He is a member of the following international bodies: Project Management Institute (PMI), British Psychological Society (BPS), Association of Project Management (APM) and Institute of Performance and Learning (ILP).
Before joining Meirc, Ahmad was the general manager of Arena, an educational and multicultural complex in Amman, Jordan, where he managed five functional departments and succeeded in increasing profits through organizational restructuring and innovative services. During that tenure, he also worked as business instructor at Amman Private University where he taught project management and leadership courses. Ahmad was also a project manager for the UNDP middle managers program which was jointly run by Amman University and Cranfield University, UK. Prior to that, he worked in the area of planning and business development for Al Fozan Group in Saudi Arabia where he designed feasibility studies and business plans including financial analysis and market research.
With Meirc, Ahmad conducts training courses in the areas of project management, leadership, management, behavioral skills, and self-development. In addition, he provides consulting expertise in conducting feasibility studies, and in running assessment and development centers. To complement his expertise, Ahmad has obtained professional certification in project management as well as psychometrics. He is a project management professional (PMP®), risk management professional (RMP®), PRINCE2®registered practitioner, as well as a Microsoft certified technology specialist (MCTS). Ahmad also has certificates of competence in occupational testing from the British Psychological Society (BPS) and in occupational personality questionnaires (OPQ32) from Saville and Holdsworth (SHL) in the UK. He is also a certified training practitioner (CTP™).
