Course Methodology

The course uses interactive techniques, such as brief presentations by the consultant and participants. The course also includes group exercises, case studies, and plenary discussions. In addition, this course incorporates pre- and post-testing.

Course Objectives

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Define project scope and identify the specific deliverables that will be produced during the project, and break them down into manageable components using Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) technique
  • Construct project network diagrams, apply critical methods, and schedule project activities to optimize resource utilization
  • Determine project status by calculating project budget and schedule variances using Earned Value method
  • Apply capital budgeting techniques to evaluate and select projects that are expected to create value for the organization
  • Manage project stakeholders by analyzing their needs and applying several engagement techniques
