Mr. Fouad Awad is a partner with Meirc Training and Consulting. He holds a bachelor of arts in economics from the American University of Beirut and a master of arts in development economics from the University of Leicester, UK. Fouad is a certified teaching practitioner (CTP) by the Institute of Performance and Learning in Canada.
Fouad held several faculty and managerial positions before joining Meirc in 2006. As a business faculty member at both the American University of Beirut and the Lebanese American University, he had a long career in teaching and research in the areas of economics, general management, as well as HR management. Early on in his career, Fouad developed a devoted interest in HR that led him to establishing the Human Resource Institute under the umbrella of the Lebanese American University in Beirut. He directed the institute for six consecutive years, leading a wide variety of human resources training and consulting projects for major business and governmental organizations in the Middle East region.
After moving to the American University of Beirut, Fouad launched the Middle East HR Forum under the auspices of the Olayan School of Business. The forum brought together senior HR leaders in the region to share HR knowledge and best practices.
Throughout his career, Fouad traveled extensively in the Middle East region delivering a wide range of HR training and consulting services to a large variety of organizations that benefited from his diversified experience and competencies.
Fuad currently manages the HR and Training portfolio of courses at Meirc. He delivers training that includes writing job descriptions and conducting job evaluations, strategic talent management, workforce planning, as well as competency based interviewing, to name only a few.
