Ibrahim Al Yafi, Senior Consultant
Mr. Al Yafi is a Senior Consultant with Meirc Training & Consulting. He holds a BS in Engineering Management from the University of Missouri-Rolla, USA, and an MBA with a concentration in Strategic Management and International Marketing from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, Illinois, also in the USA. In addition, Mr. Al Yafi is a Senior Certified Professional by the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM-SCP).
Mr. Al Yafi has over 16 years of experience in the field of human resources. He started his career as Training and Development Manager with Coca-Cola Near East where he customized and conducted a number of training courses in the areas of sales, merchandizing, and supervisory and managerial skills. He then joined the Department of Civil Aviation in Dubai where he was instrumental in developing a training center catering for the training of employees and career development of Nationals. Mr. Al Yafi then became the Group Human Resources Manager with Mannai Corporation in Qatar. His efforts in setting a successful human resources function resulted in the execution of a full cultural change strategy as well as the implementation of a competency based model. Later on, Mr. Al Yafi joined SIPCO, a Pepsi-Cola company where one of his main contributions was to boost effectiveness and reliability of the bonus and remuneration system. Before joining Meirc, Mr. Al Yafi occupied the position of Head of Human Resources at Royal Group in Abu Dhabi.
