Mr. Marie is a Partner with Meirc Training & Consulting. He holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from the University of Jordan and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in the United States. Mr. Marie is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed by Texas State Board of Accountancy and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA). He is also a member of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA). Before joining Meirc, Mr. Marie held several positions in the United States. He was an Accounting Manager at Trinity Industries Leasing, a Senior Accountant at Trinity Industries Inc. and a Team Leader at Outsource Partners International. His work experience ranges from corporate accounting, financial accounting and reporting to budgeting, forecasting and managerial accounting, as well as consolidating financial statements of a multinational, multibillion dollar company. His responsibilities included setting up and accounting for several special purpose entities (SPEs), complex sale leaseback arrangements, off-balance sheet financing, bonds offerings, treasury shares and stock options, in addition to researching new accounting pronouncements and their financial effects. He was also involved in assessing process controls and identifying areas for improvement. With Meirc, Mr. Marie’s areas of expertise include a portfolio of programs in financial accounting, managerial accounting, finance, budgeting and cost management. Mr. Marie’s other training interests focus on programs in specialized accounting such as International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), fixed assets accounting, payables and receivables as well as general management and behavioral skills. |
